From time to time, I run across old sewing machines at thrift shops.  They remind me of the sewing machines that my mom and grandmother used to have.  My grandma had a room filled with clothing patterns and bolts and bolts of material.  Today, sewing seems to be a bit of a lost art as I don't hear of many people who are into sewing.
